Interactive Timeline: Every Day is Something Day

Today, I went through an interesting webinar that introduced me to a nifty timeline tool, Northwestern University Knight Lab’s Timeline JS3. I wanted to futz around with it, but needed some content to use. What to do?

Well, starting a blog and getting onto Twitter has been surprisingly hard for me, probably because I still get that feeling that what I have to say isn’t all that interesting to other people. And a LOT of times, I’m just not even sure where to start. Sometimes I (not so creatively) reach for the ubiquitous “National _______ Day” to give me a push. And I KNOW I’m not the only one, right??

So rather than have to look for science themed days on demand, I decided to buck up, do a little research today to find a whole host of days for 2016, and use them as test content for the timeline too.

And so, for any of you other #scicomm and #envcomm folks out there who occasionally (often?) get writer’s block, I present… the 2016 National (Environmental Science) Something Day Calendar.

Know of any fun days I should add to fill in the gaps? Let me know and I’ll add them in!
